Come in your Halloween best, and join your nocturnal companions feel free to use your imagination, the choices are endless from actual animals, to creatures of the night such as vampires etc. Of course any costume is welcome.

The evening’s festivities will also include all the fun you’ve come to expect: 50-50 drawing, psychic readers, silent auction and a “clandestine” costume contest – anonymous judges roam the room and hand out prizes to adults and children.

This year RHPC is teaming up with St. Francis Wildlife Association. The St. Francis Wildlife Association is a non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of native wildlife in north Florida through the rescue and rehabilitation of sick, injured, and orphaned wildlife, and through public education.  For more information, go to http://www.stfranciswildlife.org/

Lammas

This year’s First Harvest festival will celebrate Lammas.  Join the Red Hills Pagan Council as we celebrate the fruits of the Earth.

Date:             July 30, 2017
When:
Gather at 9:00 am for ritual at 10:30 am

Come join us to celebrate the first harvest of the year, and recognize that the hot summer days will soon come to an end.

4224 Natural Bridge Road, Woodville 32305

Join us for the celebration of Lammas. We will honor Lugh the Many Skilled and his foster mother Tailtiu, the Great One of the Earth with ritual, Tailtiu's funeral game the Loaf Toss, and feasting.

We hope to avoid the heat as much as possible so set up is at 9:00, arrival time is 10:00 and ritual starts at 10:30.

Please bring sunscreen, bug spray, sunhats, food and beverages to share, a chair, a symbol of one or more of your skills for the altar such as a pen if you write, a needle and fabric for sewing, etc.

Directions: Drive south on Monroe Street (Woodville Highway) until you get to Natural Bridge Rd. There is a school at the corner of Natural Bridge and Monroe. Turn left onto Natural Bridge and drive 3 miles until you see an RHPC sign. Turn left into the driveway and follow the signs to the parking area in front of the house. If you pass Country Oaks you just just missed the driveway.

If you get lost call 443-3991.

Lammas is also known as Lughnasadh. Lughnasadh is the holy day dedicated to the Irish god Lugh. Lugh is a solar deity, but he is also the god of craft and skill. So at this Sabbat we honour the gifts of the Sun, as well as of our own labour.
